What Makes The Folder Store Different?

corn on the cob

Our Secret Ingredient.

We print all of our presentation folders on paper made from corn husks with corn-oil based inks on printing presses fueled by corn-derived ethanol. Cool, don't you think? Note that we have forbidden our press operators from drinking Chicha while on the job to ensure you don't receive any of those dime-a-dozen folders you see all over the internet. You see The Folder Store is located in Iowa and we sure do love our corn, even more than folders.  In fact, our manufacturing plant is located right smack dab in the middle of a corn field and we proudly eat corn for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We firmly believe that every printed folder should contain at least one foil-stamped Hawkeye logo, preferably centered on the front cover. If that is a little over-the-top for your tastes, we will gladly settle for a blind embossed logo in the bottom right corner of the back page.

In all seriousness, every shopper subconsciously looks for reasons not to buy their desired product from the company they are considering.  This function is hard-wired into our brains and there is no way around it.  As a business, it becomes our goal to remove all objections and elements of friction so we have the opportunity to convince the prospect why it is the right decision and later why it was the right decision to buy from us.

As a prospective buyer, the question you seek to answer is "Why should I buy from you?" and "What makes you better?".  As a company, we must differentiate ourselves from our competition if we are to rise above them.  To do this, we must determine our unique selling proposition (USP) or points of difference.  Now that we have that out of the way, let me explain what we believe to be The 7 Reasons Our Customers Choose The Folder Store Over Our Competitors:

  1. Superior Service: Your calls get answered, your emails receive a response, and your voice is heard.
  2. Cost Savings: You receive the exact folders you want at a price that falls within your budget.
  3. Fast Turnaround: You receive your folders on-time even with the most pressing of deadlines.
  4. Graphics Help: Your folder design is going to pop in print whether you are artistic or not.
  5. Quality Control: Your order is meticulously hand-checked before and after production every single time.
  6. Specialized Focus: You receive the best product and advice because folders are all we print.
  7. Design Options: You completely control your level of involvement in the design process.
friendly face

A Friendly Face When You Need One.

Our USP you ask? Old-world customer service. What exactly does that mean? The kind of service we no longer expect but associate with days gone by (say the 1950's). A world where people took pride in their work and made every effort to get it right the first time. A place where people admitted their mistakes and promptly fixed them. A time when people cared more about repeat customers and less about lining their pockets in the short-term. As a society, we have lost these special qualities but The Folder Store optimistically aims to get them back and we start with our satisfaction guarantee.

Your greatest fear in purchasing from an unfamiliar company is that it will be a mistake you later regret. Believe me, you are not alone. We have done everything we can think of to be as transparent with our customers as we possibly can. No pushy salespeople, snake-oil sales pitches, canned emails, scripted phone calls, or other nonsense that has become the norm today. What happened to understanding the needs of your customer and then working hard to fulfill them? We hope you will put your trust in us and allow us to prove you made the right choice for your custom presentation folders.

Our goal for this blog is to create a unique and interesting conversation about folder printing and small business marketing seamlessly blended together. Whether you end up choosing The Folder Store or one of our competitors for your printed folders, we wish you the best when it comes to marketing your business.
